Construct blast proof transformer compound and footing to run cable trays approx 300mtrs along embankment to a 3mtr x 3mtrx 3mtr RMU Pit for temporary power. Building 6mtr precast blast wall off site and standing into position around live switch yards, excavating 3mtrs deep into very lose sand to construct RMU pit in stitchu.

THE CHALLENGE


This project involved the Design & Construct of a new 390m2, 2 Level Office with amenities, 6100m2 purpose built warehouse divided into 3 compartments. Liquids production, Powder production and storage area. A full ESFR sprinkler system including tanks & pumps. A large 2500m2 concrete hardstand and wash bay facility together with canopy providing over 500m2 of undercover unloading area.

THE CHALLENGE


Stage 1 consisted of constructing over 350/lm of limestone retaining walls averaging 3m to 6m in height. Installation of Mains Electrical Services, Back filling and levelling the 35,000m2 site ready for construction phase. After meeting the design brief for the client, MACS together with a team of consultants Constructed a purpose Built 1200m2 Office, 800m2 Workshop & 28000m2 of Hardstand and parking on a 34000m2 prime site in Latitude 32.

Install seven modular buildings and compliant in sixteen days.

THE CHALLENGE


MACS were called in to restore the Broome’s Classroom before the students came back from holidays 2020, after an escapee prisoner set alight to the school destroying Broome local primary school. In a quick response MACS restored/replaced the classrooms destroyed by fire in time for the students to return for 2020. Installing modular buildings on an active demolition site that included significant friable asbestos removal The full extent of the connectivity of existing services was unknown until the second week, so several different options needed to be explored and ready to execute.

Installation of a new transportable woodwork room

THE CHALLENGE


The area allocated was very small and in heavy bushland. MACS Site Supervisors had to meet with the principle and aboriginal elders to get permission to remove a portion of the tree and shrubs in order to fit the transportable into position. The challenge of this job was that minimal trees and shrubs could be removed. Resulting in the relocation of the trees and shrubs removed. This job was completed on time and within budget.
